DonateA creative explosion of arts, culture and science
26 Firsts brings together a collection of original pieces that showcase student voices, creativity and perspectives through an exploration of UCL's past.
Inspired by UCL’s historical, scientific, social and cultural milestones and achievements, 26 Firsts brings together UCL students and members of the professional writers’ collective 26 in a new publication, exploring 26 landmark moments over the past two centuries.
Drawing on a rich variety of disciplines and modes of storytelling, the student writers offer fresh perspectives on the people, discoveries and ideas that have shaped the university, London and the world.
From poetry and prose to conversations and diary entries, the anthology collection demonstrates how creativity can encourage new ways of engaging with the past and connecting to the present.
The 26 Firsts publication is now available to download and read online.
